WHO’S WEAPON OF CHOICE?!
Every player’s stick and pocket have their own identity. Some string their own, others have friends create the pocket tailoring to one’s strength and preference. For this new edition of the KBL Newsletter, each week we will highlight a current lacrosse player’s weapon of choice, and have you, the reader, reply to this newsletter with your best guess as to who it may be.
Thank you Caden Kirst for sharing your weapon of choice last week!
Take a look at what this College Lacrosse Midfielder is working with!

“I like to keep it simple with my set up, been using the same pattern and type of head since sophomore year of high school. I’m a big fan of Optiks, have used both the Optik 2 and 3 (and will be moving onto the Optik Force soon).”

“My head set up is pretty simple. A mid pocket with one nylon and one shooter. I love this setup as a guy who feeds the ball a lot, the limited whip helps me have a good touch and feel to all my passes.”

“For the shaft, I’ve been using a Caliber this past season. it feels light and is very durable compared to other sticks in the game. I don’t put tape on the shaft except for the butt end and below the head, I like the stick feeling slick when I play.”

“I don’t string my heads myself, but I have two awesome friends (1 at school, 1 at home) named Lucas Billing and Bryce Babich who both do a fantastic job stringing up my stick and having it ready for the season!”

THUNDERBIRDS DROP GAME 2 TO RUSH IN OVERTIME

Falling short in overtime of the National Lacrosse league Semifinals this past Saturday has allowed me to reflect on the entire 2024-2025 Thunderbirds journey.
Representing the city of Halifax, playing the game we love just means more. Flying into Halifax Stanfield International Airport, you truly feel the energy before stepping foot in the Nest.
“Go get em this weekend!”
“Lets Go Birds!”
“Good luck tonight!”
Whether you're walking alongside the Harbourfront or grabbing a coffee at Tim’s before shoot around, the community’s support are constant reminders how grateful we are to be Halifax Thunderbirds.
Thank you, Halifax, for an unforgettable year! Heave Away!
