WHO’S WEAPON OF CHOICE?!
Every player’s stick and pocket have their own identity. Some string their own, others have friends create the pocket tailoring to one’s strength and preference. For this new edition of the KBL Newsletter, each week we will highlight a current lacrosse player’s weapon of choice, and have you, the reader, reply to this newsletter with your best guess as to who it may be.
Thank you Chayse Ierlan for sharing your weapon of choice last week!
Take a look at what this Professional Lacrosse Player is working with!

“I use a L3 Nike Lakota head with a Stringking metal 3 shaft. The Nike Lakota head has a great shape, is easy to string, and is great on ground balls. The Stringking shaft is light but durable.”

“I like to tape my stick at the top of my shaft for my top hand and at the bottom of my shaft for my bottom hand. I use red electrical tape for an extra flare to the setup. I’ve always liked adding a little color to my stick but not too much.”

“For my stringing - I like to have a middle to low shallow pocket. I like the low pocket because the ball sits well when I am dodging. I like the shallow pocket to have a quick release. In box lacrosse in particular, you need to be able to quickly shoot or feed when the opportunity arises.”

“I only use one shooter and a nylon because I don’t like having any whip in my sticks and I want the ball to roll right out of the channel. I’ve had this setup since my college days at Cornell and it’s been great!”

“I’d recommend to any player who likes a quick release and is more focused on accuracy than power.”
