WHO’S WEAPON OF CHOICE?!

Every player’s stick and pocket have their own identity. Some string their own, others have friends create the pocket tailoring to one’s strength and preference. For this new edition of the KBL Newsletter, each week we will highlight a current lacrosse player’s weapon of choice, and have you, the reader, reply to this newsletter with your best guess as to who it may be.

Thank you Jack Hannah for sharing your weapon of choice last week!

Take a look at what this Professional Lacrosse Goalie is working with!

“I rock a white STX Eclipse 3 on a Black STX Sci-Ti X Shaft. When I first started playing goalie, we were on the first Eclipse model, it’s crazy to see how far the heads have come.”

“Up until Junior Year of college I strung all of my sticks. I don’t like a lot of whip in my stick, really love the ball to come out straight and smooth from my release. Recently, I have started having the legend himself Mr. Wander-ful string my sticks. He does a fantastic job of stringing a blend of smooth release but also giving me some pocket depth for rebound control. I currently am using MeshDynasty 12D Rhombus mesh, but Mr. Wander-ful is always keeping his eyes on new strings and mesh for me to try out.”

“My tape job is pretty simple and something I have used on all of my goalie sticks since middle school. The tape around the head is so I can get some extra grip for my top hand because those super fast, hard shots sometimes spin your stick around and we can’t have that. Sometimes I may even add some Vuku Grip other specialized tape.”

“The middle portion is for my bottom hand in my stance. I have played around with this location sometimes depending if I want more speed or strength behind my stick. Lastly, the bottom third is all for my stick handling and passing in the clear.”
