WHO’S WEAPON OF CHOICE?!

Every player’s stick and pocket have their own identity. Some string their own, others have friends create the pocket tailoring to one’s strength and preference. For this new edition of the KBL Newsletter, each week we will highlight a current lacrosse player’s weapon of choice, and have you, the reader, reply to this newsletter with your best guess as to who it may be.

Thank you Spencer Wirtheim for sharing your weapon of choice last week!

Spencer Wirtheim - Graduate Student (Baldwinsville, N.Y.)

Take a look at what this Professional Lacrosse Midfielder and Forward is working with!

“For me my lacrosse stick is always around me. I have it on the couch with me everyday. My girlfriend thought it was weird when we moved in together…she thinks it’s cool now #growthegame.”

“I learned to string to learn how my stick works. I think stringing sticks is a really fun process, really endless levels of creativity. Keeps your stick in your hands as well as keeps you wanting to go out and throw the ball around with a new pattern!”

“I use a mid pocket with 5/10 whip. It has as much hold as I can get…while still having a smooth release. I really focus on keeping the top of my head loose enough to have give, while maintaining channel and keep the ball placement lower.”

“In my opinion it allows you to play any style of game, no limitations to the pocket, can toe drag like Matthews & slide leaners upstairs.”
